Firestar Energy Booster

Today's product comes at us from the UK.  It is another energy powder but it contains a whopping 200mg of caffeine in each tiny little packet.

The Look:  Each little package of Firestar comes in a red foil lined package about the size of a business card (maybe a slight bit smaller).  The did a good job with the small amount of space available.  On the front we get some orange flames that kind of circle the package. On the back of the package there is a short passage about how to use Firestar, an ingredient list, a warning about to much caffeine intake, and the website is even printed on the pack.

Taste:  I open up Firestar and pour it directly onto my tongue.  So how does Firestar taste?  Surprisingly good considering they managed to cram 200 mg of caffeine inside this little pack.  It has a tart lemon lime flavor with very little bitterness involved.  I am shocked that they managed to hide that much caffeine behind the flavoring.  The only thing I did figure out was don't try one of these right after brushing your teeth (that was my own stupidity).

Does It Work:  This stuff is pretty much powered by one thing, caffeine.  Like I mentioned earlier each pack contains an amazing 200mg in each packet.  If don't enjoy a massive caffeine rush then you might want to just eat half of one of these packages.  After slamming one of these down, I got rocked hard.  This thing didn't just wake me up, it slapped me around and made my brain a bit fuzzy for a bit.  Very nice and strong buzz.  No complaints at all here. Expect a good 3 or 4 hour buzz inside each pack of Firestar.

Overall Thoughts:  This is the most powerful energy powder I have tried so far.  I am very thankful that Firestar was nice enough to hook me up with some of these to try.  With the convenient shape and size of these, I now carry one in my wallet with me and added a few packs to my energy stash at work.   They have a website at: Firestar.  On the website you can buy some for a pretty reasonable price (because of the small size and light weight, shipping is pretty cheap too).  If you don't feel like ordering a pack of 5, you can buy them in single packs from my good friend at KingOfCaffeine.com

I took one of these one afternoon when I was feeling like I was coming down with a cold and I must admit, I sailed through the rest of my day. But beware of the crash (that probably explains the packaging!)

With the slow release technology and only 2.5g of sugar this product doesn't have a crash problem. Crashes are mainly caused by high doses of sugar making Firestar CRASHFREE!

I was given some of these from my son and have to say they are helping me through a very busy time of house selling but I really would like to know the caloric value of these little magic sachets please. Thanks
