NX Speed Freak

Sadly this is my last flavor of NX for review.   So far I have been greatly impressed with the NX lineup.  They all have had an awesome flavor as well as the most interesting color of any drink I have had.  Without out further rambling here is the review of NX Speed Freak.

The Look:  We get another slick 24 oz bottle with the cool lug nut top.  They went with a red, black, and white color scheme on this flavor and it look very nice.  This is a bottle that will almost immediately grab some attention.  On the back of the bottle there is nutritional information as well as a passage about NX Energy Drink. There is a bunch of attention that went into this bottle and it shows in the final package.

Taste:   After opening it up I can see the color is the same smoke filled antifreeze color as the Lean and Mean The flavor of Speed Freak is labeled as a mango citrus. That is a very accurate description.  The drink has a very nice carbonated mango flavor with a citrus behind it.  It taste pretty close to the same as Lean and Mean, which is a good thing.

Does It Work:  Inside each bottle (3 servings inside) you will find 75g of sugar, 300 calories, 750 mg of quercetin, 750 mg of vitamin C, vitamin B3, 240 mg of caffeine, and 105 mg of potassium.  Because of the large quantity inside the bottles it took me almost an hour to consume the whole bottle.  About half way through I started to feel motivated to do things.  After I finished the whole bottle I had a great amount of energy and I was really feeling the drink do it's job.  NX Speed Freak kept me going until after lunch time with no crash.

Overall Thoughts:  There are 2 energy drinks that seem aimed at the racing crowd.  One is NOS and the other is NX.  If I had the choice between the 2 of them I would go with NX.  I love the bottles the drink comes in, the taste is great, and the color is something you really need to see for yourself.  You can check them out on the web at: NX Energy.  If you get the chance to try one tell me what you think of the wicked color of the drink and the unique taste.
